Nicole LeGault I started writing songs when I was eleven years old,
and I joined my first all original band at the age of 14. I developed a real passion for live performance. But then the music school where I was taking lessons hired me as a vocal coach full time. I discovered a whole new passion, and that was teaching."

Nicole LeGault Nicole LeGault, the creator of the Song Savvy Vocal Instruction Program, was born into a house that was always full of music. "My mother was always singing to the radio. My father, after reading us bed time stories, sang at least three songs with my sister and I before bed. We would sing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer all year 'round because it was our favourite."

Formal musical training began for Nicole at the age of five, and by eleven, she knew what she wanted to be - a professional musician.

"The fundamentals of singing are universal, but when it comes to fine tuning and developing a personal style, every student is unique. I'm powerfully driven to see my students evolve. I've learned through many years of daily experience how to provide my students with the tools and the knowledge they crave in order to free their gift of voice."

In 1998, Nicole founded the successful "A Sharp" School of Music in West Toronto, Canada.

"The school has about 400 students… I teach about 45 per week. I get calls from men and women alike - and I can tell that it took great courage for them to just make the initial phone call. They say things like: "Umm...are you willing to try to teach anyone to sing?" and "Is there any hope for me, or do you think it's too late?" They all think that they will be the worst student I have ever heard, but nothing could be further from the truth. I love beginners, because I know that their lessons will be all steady and exciting progress. Their child-like joy when they realize that they really can sing gives me a fulfilment that money cannot buy."

While most of Nicole's students are interested in singing simply for the joy of learning a new skill, many have gone on to pursue professional careers in:

  • Live Performance and Recording, (some are signed by various record labels)
  • Musical Theatre
  • Stand Up Comedy
  • News Casting
  • Radio
And those who improved their speaking voice for their careers as:
  • Salespeople
  • Attorneys
  • Executives who give Presentations
  • Receptionists
